Justin Bieber fans wear nappies to keep front row spot at packed Rock in Rio festival in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - PerthNow

You’d be hard-pressed to find someone who hasn’t needed to go to the toilet at an inopportune time but some Justin Bieber fans have taken desperate measures to make sure nature didn’t call.

The singer performed at the Rock in Rio festival in Rio de Janeiro over the weekend and reports have emerged of Bieber fanatics wearing nappies to keep their place in the nose bleed section — while they lined up for hours.

Clara Modanez told media she took a nappy from her grandmother so that when the inevitable arose, she didn’t need to leave her spot at the front to go to the toilets.

“It was the first time I wore a diaper at a concert like this,” she told Globo.

“I saw people saying they would wear it and I decided to do it too, because I don’t want to lose my place for anything. So I got this diaper from my grandma and she doesn’t even know it, poor thing.

“I’m hanging in there, it’s only going to be a last resort. I drink very little water.”

It was reported that the advertising student started lining up for the Brazilian gig at 5.30am, more than 15 hours before the Canadian crooner was due to begin his 11pm set.

Other outlets have reported punters taking medication as a precaution to hold their bowels.

“We’re all in this together, but if my journey can help you, it’s all good, I love you people,” Bieber shouted at one point.

He began the show in a white T-shirt with black and white baggy pants before taking off his shirt.

The Justice World Tour is in support of his fifth and sixth studio albums Changes (2020) and Justice (2021).

The tour was originally set to begin in 2020 but was postponed to 2021, and then later to 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
